We have tried our best to make the event open to anyone who wishes to attend. Given the nature of the terrain, parts of the event may not be suitable for everyone.

Electric Glen is accessible to those with reduced mobility and specific needs. Having a wheels only route around the pond (700 metres) on a fully tarmac path which gives views of the islands and boating pond with the opportunity to view the waterfall. Special wheels only ticket is available. Find out more about the trail.

On the full route some paths can be steep and care should be taken at all times.  Visitors are also advised that the underfoot conditions will not always be flat and that there may be uneven surfaces. Personal assistants must be capable of supporting their companion with specific needs in the event of an emergency or evacuation of the area.

Personal assistants should be over 16 years old.

Wheels only route

The wheels only route around the pond is 700 metres and will give limited access to the event with views of the waterfall. This route starts at the Boathouse Café where there is a gentle slope from the park entrance on Davieland Road to the boating pond. Once level with the boating pond there is a tarmac path running the full circumference of the pond which will give stunning views of the three illuminated islands. On reaching the cut off for the main trail wheels only ticket holders can follow the path to the top of the waterfall giving views down the Auldhouse Burn. On returning to the pond you will follow the path around the south side of the pond to the Boathouse café and exit on to Davieland Road.

A limited number of disabled parking spaces are available outside the main entrance to Electric Glen where there will also be a designated drop off point.

Accessible toilets location

Full toilet facilities including accessible facilities are available at the Electric Glen entrance and at the top of the waterfall.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome at Electric Glen. Please be aware that there are electrical components and hot lights at ground level which dogs could find interesting. Please pay particular attention to what your dog is investigating.

Strobe lighting

At this point there are no plans for strobe lighting at the event. However, those with a light sensitivity should be aware that there may be areas where there will be flickering or flashing lights at low intensity.
