Terms & Conditions

Terms and conditions relating to owning a ticket and attending the event.

The possession of a ticket shall constitute an acceptance by the holder of the terms, conditions and advice detailed below and imply an undertaking on the part of the holder to observe them.

The event is an event organised by East Renfrewshire Council.
  • All ticket holders are reminded that this is an outdoor event and the weather may be inclement. It is your responsibility to wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
  • All participants should bring a fully charged torch or head torch for the walk as some areas will be very dark. We reserve the right to refuse inappropriately clothed patrons access to the walk, if it is felt they are open to greater risk of injury
  • Ticket holders must start the trail during the time slot stated on their ticket. The organisers may not be able to allow entry to the trail at times outside the time slot booked. The event will close one hour and 30mins after the end of the last time slot
  • Tickets will be scanned at the entrance to Electric Glen and you should retain your ticket(s) at all times
  • Please note that due to the nature of the event, not all areas of the walk will be completely accessible to ticket holders with mobility issues. Ticket holders are also advised that the underfoot conditions will not always be flat and that there may be uneven surface
  • Personal assistants must be capable of supporting the disabled person's needs in the events of an emergency or evacuation of the area. Personal assistants should be aged 16 or over
  • Visitors must observe any safety signage and follow the instructions of the stewards at all times. In the event of an emergency you may need to evacuate part of or the entire Glen. Please follow directions of stewards who will advise on the safest route to leave the event
  • Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a short lead at all times. Please pick up after your dog and if there is no specific dog bins, please use the general rubbish bins
  • No access to children under 16 unless accompanied by a parent / guardian or responsible adult (16+)
  • Naked flames including fireworks, BBQ's, and sparklers are strictly prohibited
  • The organisers reserve the right to prohibit any other items considered to be a potential hazard
  • Electric Glen will not be held responsible if any of your personal property is lost or damaged.

The promoter [East Renfrewshire Council] reserves the right to:

  • Make reasonably necessary alterations to the advertised event arrangements, featured participants or programme
  • Cancel or abandon the event without notice and without liability for compensation or damage other than up to a maximum of the ticket price (If the event is cancelled in advance Electric Glen will make reasonable attempts to contact you using the details you have provided)
  • Restrict ticket sales to a maximum number per person and/or household and cancel any tickets purchased in excess of this
  • Refuse admission to, or remove you from the event in reasonable circumstances - such as the refusal of security checks or if event staff considers that your behaviour may adversely affect other people's enjoyment of the event - and without a refund
  • Tickets cannot be refunded unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled so please check your tickets carefully on receipt and contact Ticketmaster if you have any queries.We are not liable for lost, destroyed or stolen tickets and cannot always replace them. Please take special care of admission tickets as duplicates cannot be issued under any circumstances
  • Tickets are non-transferable and their resale for profit or commercial gain (except by us) or use in promotions or packages without the express permission of the event organiser is prohibited and may render them void
  • If you experience any problems please inform event staff immediately as issues cannot always be resolved after the event
  • By attending the event you consent to being filmed / recorded as part of the audience for security and broadcast without payment.

Payments & charges

  • Once purchased, tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, refunded or returned unless the event is cancelled, moved to another date, or if details of the event are significantly changed
  • No duplicate tickets will be issued to replace lost or stolen tickets
  • Customers are advised to check their purchase upon receipt
  • In the event that your tickets are lost in the post and duplicates are arranged for collection at the site, these will only be given out to the cardholder upon production of the card that was used to make the booking
  • Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed for a variety of reasons. If this happens we shall contact all customers by letter or email, depending on your method of booking, or by phone if it is urgent. You will be entitled to a face value refund as the booking and transaction fees are non-refundable, a refund fee of £1 per Ticket plus VAT will be incurred. The letter or email will contain details on how to obtain this refund, or you can contact us via our online contact form for more information. Please note, however, it is the customer's responsibility to check whether the event is going ahead at the scheduled date, time and venue, and Electric Glen cannot guarantee that they will inform the customer of any changes to the event date, time or venue
  • Please note, in the event of an event being cancelled or postponed, Electric Glen cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred by the customer for travel, accommodation or any other related service, we are not liable and will not offer compensation or refunds of any costs incurred
  • It is the responsibility of the customer to inform us of any change of address, contact phone number or email address, both before and after receipt of the goods. Please note that our preferred method of contact for customers booking online is by email, so care should be taken to provide a current, valid email address
  • The right to admission to an event is reserved by the event organiser who may take health and safety, environmental and security concerns into account at their reasonable discretion, and may from time to time carry out security searches. We would advise customers that no refunds will be offered to customers who are refused entry or removed from an event on account of late arrival, being (or appearing to be) under age, declining to be searched, abusive, threatening, drunken or other antisocial behaviour ,carrying offensive weapons or illegal substances, or making unauthorised audio, video or photographic recordings
  • By ordering, you agree that the tickets are for the personal use of you and your party only, and will not be resold or transferred. Any resale or attempt to resell the tickets at a price higher than purchased will result in your orders being cancelled without prior notification
  • In order to prevent fraud and to protect both parties, you may be asked to provide additional information after your booking so that we can verify your purchase
  • We reserve the right to cancel any order that further to investigation we deem to be possibly of a fraudulent nature. These checks may include, but not be limited to, a request to be provided with an original credit or debit card statement, attempts to contact a customer by telephone, reference to records to check for other fraudulent activity at an address. We will not share your personal information for marketing or any other purposes without your consent unless where required by law
  • We will always respect your privacy and any personal communication between you and ourselves. We will always comply with any data protection legislation currently in force.
